The formal erection of the Pious of Union of St Rita of Cascia was done in 2008 by Very Rev Fr Hyacinth Kangyep, the Prior Provincial at the time. Since then, the devotion has spread to most part of Nigeria. At the moment, the union is present in more than 18 dioceses in Nigeria. The spread of the devotion is due to many great testimonies of God’s divine help received through the intercession of St Rita of Cascia.
